|Episode 36- An Inspector Came to Call|
Low impact building meets building regulation- what are the issues? Having thought they did not need to comply with building regulations whilst they live in their barns temporarily, the Lammas residents have run into some problems.
Although they have been granted planning permission for their homes under a new low impact policy, no such policy exists for dealing with building regulations. Essentially, there is a mis-match, as regulations call for new buildings to have fire alarms connected to the mains, but at Lammas, there is no mains electricity!
The residents are caught and it's causing some tension as people are threatened with prosecution and taken to court.
