Click here ![]() In March 1997 residents from Holtsfield on the Gower peninsula, South Wales, undertook an epic 250-mile march to the House of Lords in London for a legal judgment which they hoped would mark the end of an eight-year battle to save their self-built chalet community. The judgement on 1 May 1997, indeed, gave them a wonderful result in that it provides complete protection to Dai Morris and his family, who brought the test case, asserting their right to remain in the chalet which they have built and maintained for over 25 years. The poignancy of their battle against property developers Elitestone caught the imagination and emotions of people from all over Britain. |
